Isaac Coleman

Isaac Coleman, LPCC

Living well is an art that nurtures body, mind, and spirit. I believe every individual contains the ability to heal themselves, but sometimes we get stuck in negative patterns and need outside perspectives. Therapy is more than “fixing” problems`. It is about reimagining and actualizing the best life possible. It is also self-care. By talking with an empathic and nonbiased specialist, you will find the path to your true self.
In addition to counseling, I hold a master’s degree in creative writing. I have a deep appreciation for storytelling and a fascination with how our inner dialogue shapes our self-concept. This background lends itself to both Narrative Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Through my own recovery, I discovered the power of mindfulness and acceptance practices. I believe mindfulness lays the foundation for us to genuinely self-explore and go deeper with somatic processing and cognitive therapy. When we gain a deeper awareness of our experience, it prepares us to challenge our current coping mechanisms and heal old trauma. Most often, our present afflictions and unhealthy behaviors are rooted in trauma.

I am eager to help you find the best solutions for your unique life story.

Isaac works with people in all phases of their life journey, but he holds particular interest in helping young adults and teens. He is experienced in healing anxiety, addiction, anger, depression, and trauma. For fun, Isaac enjoys backpacking, yoga, tai chi, and kung fu.
