Bethany's mission is to be a facilitator and guide on the human journey toward Self Discovery and Wholeness. She utilizes many tools to support you on your path; she has been trained to provide practices from Gestalt Therapy, Sacred Facilitation, Warrior Goddess Empowerment, Addictions Counseling, Internal Family Systems, Trauma Informed Care and many more modalities to midwife you to your true self. Additionally she is trained in EMDR, a method that will quickly relieve distressing symptoms and help to bring balance back into your life. She is passionate about empowering women to access and build their inner strength and guidance through individual session, weekly classes and weekend retreats.

Meet Bethany

I was a kid who had a lot of energy.  I loved doing cartwheels in the grass, voraciously reading every single one of the books in the Babysitters Club series and climbing the weeping willow trees that grew near my house.  I've always loved exploring, learning, and moving my body.  Now, I use that energy to climb rock walls, hike mountains, and enthusiastically lead therapists in our thriving private practice while facilitating a kick-ass women's empowerment program. I get energized when I feel into how much healing we get to do together.

I have discovered my gifts of curiosity, intuition, and a natural tendency to care about and hold compassionate space for others. I channel this into my work with individual clients, workshops that I facilitate, and the mentorship and training that I offer to the therapists who work with me at Insight.  I want you to feel excitement about your life and journey towards bringing your gifts forth. We can help you discover who you are under the layers of self-protection, survival mode, and numbing the overwhelm.  The first steps toward this is saying yes to yourself, beginning your healing, and trusting the process.

Bethany enjoys working with people who are recovering from a major life transition, healing from divorce/separation, struggling with parenting confidently, spiritual development, trauma resiliency, and overcoming addictive behaviors/habits.

At this time, she is currently taking new clients for individual therapy on a limited basis. Feel free to reach out to her about the many courses and workshops she offers or to complete a consultation to discover who else may be a good fit in the practice to work with you. You may email her at BBarta@insightcounselingcenter.com or call her at 303-246-3219.
