Lindsey Derus

Lindsey Derus, MA, LPCC

Lindsey has an appreciation for each individual’s unique experience and believes in their innate capacity to heal and to navigate challenging life transitions. She views therapy as a collaborative process and aims to empower her clients to access their own internal sense of knowing.

Lindsey completed her master’s in mindfulness-based transpersonal counseling at Naropa University and earned her bachelor’s in psychology and sociology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Lindsey is oriented towards somatic-based parts work, an approach which honors the multidimensional nature of the human experience. Parts-work acknowledges the many different needs and desires that exist within us and creates a compassionate space for them to coexist. Lindsey is also certified as a yoga therapist through the IAYT. She loves to incorporate yoga into her sessions for clients who are interested. Lindsey’s background in mindfulness and trauma informed yoga therapy contribute to an integrative approach that supports clients in re-connecting with their body and accessing the valuable wisdom it has to offer.
Lindsey has a background in perinatal mental health and has trained with Postpartum Support International and the Seleni Institute. She has supported clients struggling with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma, changes in identity and difficulty with transitions. Lindsey has also worked closely with teen clients navigating independence and individuality as young adults, and their parents. Lindsey is honored to join you on your path of growth.
