Samantha Feller, Master's Level Intern

At the core of the therapeutic relationship is collaboration and a space for the fullness of your humanity to be witnessed. All emotions are messengers, giving us information about your internal experience and helping you process your life. Instead of labeling emotions as good or bad, we can welcome what is arising in the present moment and spend time getting to know the different parts of you more intimately. I believe you are inherently whole and that understanding what life has thrown at you allows for grace and insight into who you truly are.

Life is challenging and during transitions, grief, worry, and stress is where growth and expanding your resilience can happen. During the different seasons of life, you can access a place of deep inner peace and acceptance that will support you as you navigate ups and downs. We can explore together what works for you, what your boundaries are, and how to begin—and sustain your healing process.

My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and integrative from a biopsychosocial-spiritual perspective. Additionally, I use psychoeducation and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to provide you with tools that you can use outside of therapy. My training is based in mindfulness practices such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, and somatic awareness.

I’m a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, iRest Yoga Nidra Teacher, and have studied and practiced mindfulness extensively for the past 11 years. Currently, I’m in my final year of graduate school pursuing a master of social work because I’m passionate about mental health, social justice, and a strengths perspective. I’m also growing my skills in Internal Family Systems (IFS) to expand on the parts work I incorporate during sessions.

Outside of the office, I enjoy time in nature, dancing, yoga and meditation, traveling, and spending time with my partner and sweet dog.
