Elizabeth Hoffman

Elizabeth Hoffman MA, LPC
EMDR & IFS trained

Elizabeth has a background of working with clients who have experienced significant developmental trauma. Through incorporating yoga and mindfulness practices she will help you to become embodied and connected to yourself again. She specializes in supporting you through grief and loss, incorporating spirituality into your daily life, and working through relationship and self-worth issues. She will weave art therapy, mindfulness, somatic practices, and narrative techniques into her work with you. She is deeply committed to her work, seeing it as a sacred journey she takes with clients to help them recognize their own inherent worthiness.

She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This is a powerful form of therapy that will support you in healing the depression and anxiety that stem from past difficult experiences and help you to rewire a new, healthy sense of self and your future.

Additionally, she is Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems, a trauma-informed, inclusive model of therapy that can assist you in healing and living a life with more choice and freedom rather than ingrained behavior patterns that don't work for you anymore.
Elizabeth has worked in the mental health field in school and criminal justice settings for  over 20 years and is excited to join you on a journey of self discovery. She has a master's in psychology from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures from Southern Methodist University. She has a license in Professional Counseling.
Elizabeth is an Advanced Clinician and a part of the Clinical Lead team at Insight which means she provides supervision and clinical training to new therapists in our training and development program. She has specialized training in supervision and brings a wealth of experience to her role as supervisor.
