Holly Kadesh

Holly Kadesh, LPC

Holly works with couples and individuals, drawing on over 20 years of clinical experience. Incorporating several major therapeutic disciplines, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems and Psycho-Dynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Practice, Holly finds the best way to help you heal individually or as a couple. She integrates her client’s creative interests and expression to further deepen the therapeutic work, whether that be through the use of visual art, poetry, prose, photography, cinema, or music.

After a career as a professional artist, Holly received her MA in Marital and Family Therapy/Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. She then spent 10 years working in South Central Los Angeles schools with at-risk youth and families, and in Community Resource and Mental Health Centers. Holly moved to Billings, MT in 2005 and worked in the emergency room of a local hospital providing emergency psychiatric assessments. After 4 years in the ER, Holly joined a private group practice, and finally opened her own practice. In 2014 Holly moved to Denver, CO where she has continued to provide therapy.
Today Holly works with couples and individuals, drawing on over 20 years of clinical experience.

Holly believes that sometimes we need the safety and support of a counseling relationship to be able to take the next step in “growing up” by learning how to make changes in our lives. She provides specific support in healing trauma. The trauma of rape or assault as an adult and/or a traumatic childhood where there were diffuse and questionable boundaries, sexual or physical abuse, or insecure attachment to our initial caregivers, often create survival techniques that were helpful at the time but do not serve in a healthy life today. The resulting unresolved grief may lead to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and relational difficulties. Holly has the expertise, life experience, and wisdom to support you through the healing process that will lead to a more satisfying and peaceful life.
